The Dive Academy Samui Scuba Diving

The Dive Academy Samui is a PADI 5-Star Dive Centre in Bophut, Koh Samui, founded and operated by divers since 2005. It runs daily scuba diving and snorkeling trips from Koh Samui to top Gulf of Thailand sites - Sail Rock, Koh Tao, Chumphon Pinnacles and Angthong National Marine Park - and offers the full range of PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster. Day trips include hotel transfers, two dives, lunch on board, dive insurance and full scuba equipment, with a multilingual team covering English, French, German, Russian, Spanish and Polish.

• A 20% deposit is required to confirm any booking; balance is paid on the day of the trip in cash or by card (3% fee)
• Bookings must be received at least one day in advance, no later than 7 PM the previous day
• Certified-diver tours (e.g. Sail Rock) require a valid PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
• PADI Discover Scuba Diving (from 5,850 THB) needs no prior experience or swimming skills and starts from age 10
• Children from 3 to 10 years old cost 2,000 THB on dive tours; babies up to 3 years old are free
• Early-bird discount: 10% off trips/courses booked online at least 7 days in advance; multi-day discounts for certified divers (13-16% off for 2-5 days of fun dives)
• Transfer areas covered: Maenam, Bophut, Choeng Mon and Lamai; other areas on request at booking
• Maximum depth 30m on company vessels for Open Water Divers with Deep Adventure certification; 18m without additional deep training
• Inform the operator of any dietary requirements at least one day before your trip

Hotel pickup

Round-trip transfers to/from your resort are included for the Maenam, Bophut, Choeng Mon and Lamai areas. For different areas, please enquire with the operator at the time of booking.

Certified dive tours require a valid PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent). PADI Discover Scuba Diving is open from age 10 with no prior experience or swimming skills required. Booking categories on the operator's site: Pax (age 18+), Children (3-10 years old), babies up to 3 free.

20% deposit is non-refundable on any customer cancellation. For dive tours, certified divers who cancel on the morning of a tour are liable for the full payment of the tour, the deposit is not transferable, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure (or no-shows) are non-refundable. The company refunds all monies paid if it itself cancels a trip or course, except for the cost of PADI materials provided and bank transfer fees.
