Scuba Birds is a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Center operating on Koh Samui since 2007, offering a full range of PADI scuba diving courses and dive tours, from beginner try-dives to professional instructor level. Because there are no dive sites around Samui itself, every Koh Samui program includes a high-speed Lomprayah catamaran transfer to Koh Tao and accommodation on Koh Tao for the duration of the trip. Programs cover the two-day Discover Scuba Diving try-dive, two-day tours for certified divers, and multi-day PADI certification courses from Scuba Diver up to Rescue Diver.

Good to know

  • Booking confirmation is sent within one working day; reconfirm your reservation 3-4 days before arrival
  • A 2,000 THB deposit is required to receive the eLearning link for the PADI Open Water Diver course
  • Prerequisite: absence of any medical conditions (PADI medical statement required)
  • There are no dive sites around Koh Samui, so practical dives are conducted on Koh Tao (about 60 km north, 2 hours by ferry)
  • Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver and EFR courses start on every even day of the month
  • The two-day certified-divers tour requires a minimum certification of PADI Scuba Diver or equivalent
  • Non-diving friends and family can accompany you on the Discover Scuba Diving tour
